Description

M101 - The Pinwheel Galaxy is a face-on spiral galaxy 21 million light-years away from Earth in the constellation Ursa Major. It was discovered by Pierre Méchain in 1781 and was communicated that year to Charles Messier, who verified its position for inclusion in the Messier Catalogue as one of its final entries. (Wikipedia)

During the 3rd night trial of the EAF and Bathinov mask for the Nexstar Evo 8" SCT @ F6.3, I was able to collect 15 x 3min and 10 x 5min subs, originally stacked in DSS and processed in Pixinsight and Paintshop pro. DSS had only picked 8 light subs, but I was able to restack and process in Pixinsight the same data, with 20 darks and 30 lights for each set: Full set of 15 x 180sec and 10 x 300sec light subs.
